 Tarata Centennial Oak 

Tarata Centennial Oak and Plaque

On ANZAC Day 2015 an oak tree, grown from an acorn from Christchurch's Gallipoli Oak near the Bridge of Remembrance, was planted in the grounds of the Tarata Church as a memorial to the 6 Tarata residents who lost their lives in World War I. (See Document below)

A plaque with their names was also unveiled
