Concrete Gateway Arch to Marae
After this Ngutuwera Road site was badly flooded in July 2006, several buildings from the marae, including the wharepuni, Nga Paiaka, were re-located to high ground on nearby Block 9 Road in 2008. (TDN 8 July 06 & Whanganui Chronicle 13 Nov 2008))
The memorial to Karena Tawhitopou (shown in the background) was also moved to the new site about 2012-13.
