NZ Wars Memorial  

The memorial on Marsland Hill, New Plymouth was conceived as a national memorial to honour all those who died /served during the New Zealand Wars  (1845 -1870) including British Army units, Royal Naval vessels, New Zealand-raised troops and Maori who fought on the Pakeha side.

It was unveiled 7 May 1909 by Governor-General Lord Plunkett.
