Topic: St Paul's Co-operating Church (Opunake)

Topic type:

St Paul's was the first co-operating church built in Opunake. It was erected on the site of the old Presbyterian Church (St Andrew's) in King Street.

The estimated cost was $110,000 with the funds coming from a public appeal and the sale of church property. (DN 15/04/1981)

The church opened in 1981 and is shared by the Presbyterians and Methodists. The first minister was Mr Ian Miller.
