Levi Sarten was a passenger on the William Bryan.

Born on 11th July, 1840.
Died on 4th January, 1903.
Child of Lucy and Edward Sarten.
He became a member of the Clifton County Council and through his efforts the first Bertrand Rd bridge over the Waitara River was built.
He was also a member of the NP Harbour Board and earned the nickname "hole in the wall" Sarten for his theory about ridding the harbour of sand.
