CoastBlitz aims to explore and document the biodiversity of the local coast

NatureWatch New Zealand CoastBlitz aims to explore and document the biodiversity of the local coast.

Here’s how it works:
• Go to one of the CoastBlitz areas.
• Take photos of things that live there (using any camera, iPhone, iPad).
• Upload your photos to the CoastBlitz project on NatureWatch NZ using any computer or direct from iPhone/iPad.

Participate in one of the projects.

Project 'CoastBlitz'. In Taranki this is facilitated by the Nga Motu Marine Reserve Society and DOC. Schools who are part of the "Experiencing Marine Reserves" programme may borrow the marine rsources trailer, and the survey tools. Data is collected, entered to NatureWatch and analysed with the Nga Motu MRS online Geographic Information System to show species distribution.
