Terms and conditions for parents, caregivers and children.
The intention of the APN Homework Help Club is to provide a friendly, fun but conducive environment for children to work through homework related questions using the APN computers. However, the following guidelines are important and we ask that parents and caregivers are familiar with them before children attend the club.
Guidelines for parents, caregivers and children
- Staff will assist all children who attend, with homework related questions. However we encourage parents and caregivers to remain with their children during the session as we believe there are benefits in shared learning experiences.
- The club will be held in our public internet area where eight machines will be used for the club. There will be two machines left available for the other library users. You will be directed to the area with the dedicated machines for the homework club.
- Children attending are expected to maintain an acceptable level of behaviour. Please talk to staff for guidelines.
- In the event of an emergency, Puke Ariki Health and Safety Policies will be followed.
- Parents and caregivers are reminded that while staff are able to assist with the safety and well-being of children where possible, children visiting Puke Ariki are the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.
